Isabel Curdes

In this episode of Biblioscapes In Discussion I am joined by Isabel Curdes to discuss her work and her book Transcending.

The idea for this book was there from the beginning. All elements from the use of one single roll of expired Ektachrome film, over developing in my own darkroom with all the possibilities and chances for failure, to the materials used and the book design are there to support the story and the feeling behind it. Even the text in this book is hand-written.

We also discussed a selection of Isabel’s favourite books…

  • September is the Cruellest Month… Deborah Parkin

  • Guy Dickinson

You can see more of Isabel’s work on her website and find her on Twitter and Instagram.
