Valda Bailey

In this episode of Biblioscapes In Discussion I am joined by Valda Bailey to discuss her work and her book We May As Well Dance.

It seemed at times as if the only constant was a wearying uncertainty and unbearable sorrow. And the unrelenting monotony of so many groundhog days. Those of us who find an outlet for our feelings in creative endeavors are the lucky ones. No need to bridge one indistinguishable week to the next - the hours are never long enough to follow through with all the new initiatives we need to pursue.

We also discussed a selection of Valda’s favourite photobooks…

  • Light, Gesture and Color… Jay Maisel

  • Hold Still… Sally Mann

  • László Moholy-Nagy

  • Color Collection… Ernst Haas

You can see more of Valda’s work on her website and on Instagram and Twitter.
