Ian Hill

In this episode of Biblioscapes In Discussion I am joined by Ian Hill to discuss his work and his book Absence.

I grew up in a village in the flatlands. The ancient lands of the village tangled around the church with its tall thirteenth-century spire, its mottled colours of pale, fragile limestone.

We also discussed a selection of Ian’s favourite photobooks from his own bookshelf…

  • The Destruction Business… Don McCullin

  • Elmet… Faye Godwin and Ted Huges

  • Rifts and Erasures… Guy Dickinson

  • Undertow… Frances Scott

  • Hold Still… Sally Mann

You can see more of Ian’s work on Twitter.
