Damian Ward

In this episode of Biblioscapes in Discussion, I am joined by Damian Ward to talk about his work and his book Willow Studies.

Willow Studies is a series of images studying the intimate details of the willow tree. Taking influence from the East, the minimalist compositions and shapes of the leaves take on a form like Japanese kanji.

We also discussed a selection of Damian’s favourite photobooks from his own bookshelf…

  • France by Michael Kenna

  • Land by Faye Godwin

  • Winter by Jeffrey Conley

  • Arena Editions by Paul Mitchell

  • The Pool by Iain Sarjeant

You can see more of Damian’s work on his website and find him on Twitter.
