Adam Gibbs

In this episode of Biblioscapes in Discussion, I am joined by Adam Gibbs to talk about his work and his book Land & Light.

With Land & Light, I have attempted to match small groups of three or more photographs that relate to one another in some form or another. Sometimes, it might be a season, complimentary colours or an often-visited location. Land & Light is a body of work that inspired me to recollect personal memories of why or when I took the picture. In some cases, when I went through my library of work, a particular photograph would bring me back to a memory that I thought related to the image. It has been a fascinating process for me that I hope you will equally find enjoyable as you browse the portfolio of work and words.

We also discussed a selection of Adam’s favourite photobooks from his own bookshelf…

  • John Sexton

  • The Great Wilderness by Alex Nail

  • Intimations of Paradise by Christopher Burkett

  • Joseph Holmes

You can see more of Adam’s work on his website and find him on Instagram.
