Lewis Bush

In this episode of Biblioscapes in Discussion, I am joined by Lewis Bush to talk about his work and his photobooks and zines.

In my work I look for ways to visualise powerful agents, practices and technologies, and the links that connect them. To do this I employ a wide range of research strategies, from depth interviewing to open source investigation, and work across media and platforms, using photography, text, video, data visualisation, exhibitions, books, films, and apps.

We also discussed a selection of Lewis’ favourite photobooks from his own bookshelf…

  • Long Story Bit By Bit… Tim Hetherington

  • An Autobiography of Miss Wish… Nina Berman

  • Big Fence… Rhiannon Adam

  • War Primer… Bertolt Brecht

  • The Sochi Project… Rob Hornstra and Arnold van Bruggen

You can see more of Lewis’ work on his website and find him on Instagram and Twitter.
