Joseph Wright

In this episode of Biblioscapes In Discussion I am joined by Joseph Wright to discuss his work and his recent book Reimagined Landscapes.

Borne out of threads of enquiry and experimentation, and an almost obsessive need to continue to remain creative and somehow escape the initial pandemic lockdown in March 2020. Attempting to stay connected to the environments he was denied access to. But, still wanting to work within the loose confines of photographic processes, exploring their simplest forms – subject, (sun)light and a receptive material.

We also discussed a selection of Joe’s favourite photobooks from his own bookshelf…

  • Mirrors Messages Manifestations… Minor White

  • In Wildness is the Preservation of the World… Eliot Porter

  • The Meadow… Barbara Bosworth

  • Landscape of the Imagination… Angie and David Unsworth

You can see more of Joe’s work on his website and find him on Instagram and Twitter. More information about JW Editions can be found here.
