Howard Rankin

In this episode of Biblioscapes In Discussion I am joined by Howard Rankin to discuss his photography and his book Warmth of the Soul.

Warmth of the Soul is a collection of abstract photography plus a handful of portraits, inspired by the love for India and the Beautiful People that live there: the sights, the colours, the vibrancy of life, and, in particular, the wonderful hospitality I have encountered.

My experiences there have touched me deeply, and I have chosen this little book as a way of expressing my thanks.

We also discussed a selection of Howard’s favourite photobooks from his own bookshelf…

  • Abstract Mindedness… Doug Chinnery

  • Solace… Paul Sanders

  • Mother… Marsel van Oosten

  • Shadow Catchers… Martin Barnes

  • Gathering Time… Simon Baxter

  • We May As Well Dance… Valda Bailey

You can see more of Howard’s work on his website and find him on Instagram and Twitter.
