David Baker

In this episode of Biblioscapes in Discussion, I am joined by David Baker to talk about his work and his latest book March Days.

The Sands of Forvie, Aberdeenshire are the fifth largest sand dune system in Britain, and the least disturbed by human activity.

All photographs in the book were taken on one day in March 2022 and are in the sequence of crests, abstracts, ripples, cascade and curves.

We also discussed a selection of David’s favourite photobooks from his own bookshelf…

  • Wald… Michael Lange

  • New York Arbour… Mitch Epstein

  • Landmark (published by Thames & Hudson)

  • Reverence… Jeffrey Conley

  • Can You Hear The Wind Blow… Kim Yungman

You can see more of David’s work on his website and find him on Instagram and Twitter.
