Alex Nail

In this episode of Biblioscapes in Discussion, I am joined by Alex Nail to talk about his work and his book The Great Wilderness.

“The Great Wilderness”, Scotland’s most remote mountain area during ephemeral moments of light, weather, and seasonal change. Captured over a 4-year period backpacking through the mountain areas of Fisherfield, Dundonnell and Letterewe. Alongside the images are stories of adventure in the mountains.

We also discussed a selection of Alex’s favourite photobooks from his own bookshelf and photographs Alex would like to see publish new work…

  • Rhythm of Nature… Sandra Bartocha

  • Back to Iceland… Theo Bosboom

  • and mentions for Joe Cornish, David Ward and Kenny Mui

You can see more of Alex’s work on his website and find him on Instagram and Twitter.
